Evan, Rachael and their children moved to The Waterlily Gardens, after relocating back to Rachael's native New Zealand from the UK

After visiting the gardens with Rachael's Aunt, they both fell in love with the tranquillity and raw, natural beauty of the property. They had been searching for a new home and instantly knew that this was it.

They bring with them a wealth of Customer Service, Event Planning, Operations and Business Management experience.

Their vision is to provide a unique, friendly and flexible service. Whether it be your dream Wedding, an overnight stay, or even a wander in the garden.

With in the first year Rachael and Evan have renovated the function rooms, focused on the formal gardens and accommodation areas. They are now in the process of restoring the Ponds and Fernery.

Within 12 months they were awarded "Most Outstanding Wedding Ceremony Venue", in the New Zealand Wedding awards, and were a finalist for "Most Outstanding Wedding Reception Venue", and have also been awarded "LUX Best Wedding Venue - Waikato" through the Global Hospitality Awards

We first visited the gardens during the Christmas holidays, on a dull, drizzly day.

We followed the signs past water ponds laden with freshly blooming lilies, through dense native bush, heavy with rain, filled with singing birds. All the way down to the expansive lake  bursting with colour and fragrance, a visual feast before us.

As we wandered, we fell in love with our surroundings, silently taking in every tree, every flower, every inch of this captivating Arcadia. We left with the resolve that one day we would bring our little family to live here; and so, after many excited conversations, countless days and nights of  deliberating and planning, we are finally here to share  our version of the magic these gardens hold.

We hope that we can relay some of that magic to you, on your journey through The Waterlily Gardens.

- Rachael and Evan
